Everest From Space

CONGRATULATIONS to the three Filipinas who made it to the summit! Two of them (Noelle and Janet) are orgmates in the UP Mountaineers (along with Romi Garduce), so I'm looking forward to the party when they get back!

As a tribute, here's a view of Everest that only a few people ever get to see. This photograph was taken from the International Space Station. Everest (29,035 feet) is near the center of the image. The peak to the left is Makalu (27,765 feet).
